In his speech, Mr. Sun reflected on the extraordinary journey of leading Winning Indonesia for the past seven years. Winning International Group ventured into Indonesia’s coal transshipment business and established Winning Indonesia in 2012. Their journey began with the establishment of PT. Winning Logistik Indonesia and PT. Winning Shipping Indonesia. Winning set up their Coal transshipment sourcing services and Operations Management Team, as well as coal transshipment technical platform and Crew Management Team. Competition in Indonesia’s coal market was tough, but with the staff working tirelessly together, Winning Indonesia became one of the top players in the Indonesian market at the start of 2014. With the expansion of their services, Winning Indonesia collaborated with Shandong Weiqiao Pioneering Group and Harita Group to establish PT Well Harvest Winning Alumina Refinery in East Kalimantan. Winning Indonesia is in charge of transporting construction materials, vital in the building of factories.

With the shift of the Group’s business into other areas, Winning Indonesia became the Group’s most important sector of Seafarer Management for their Maritime Logistics fleet. Indonesian Seafarers became the main force for the company’s Tug Boat and Floating Crane management and began shifting their services to the Bulk Vessels. At present, Winning Indonesia employs over 800 Indonesian Seafarers spread across her Floating Cranes, Tug Boats, and Bulk Vessels. The numbers will increase to 3000 Seafarers in the future in order to contribute even more to the employment opportunities in Indonesia’s job market and providing high-quality Seafarers for external labour markets. Other than that Winning Indonesia has already launched Cadet Internship program and various training program for our Seafarer to improve their knowledge and skill.

About Winning Indonesia

Winning International Group ventured into the Indonesian market in 2012. Marked with the arrival of two Floating Coal Terminals (FCT), “Winning Power” and “Winning Unity”, the Group unlocked the transshipment for potential coal commodity. We began to develop our coal transshipment operation in Samarinda, East Kalimantan. Despite the difficult challenges in the market, Winning Indonesia managed to strive and become a major player in the arena at the beginning of 2014.

Apart from Samarinda, Winning also expanded our services to the Kendawangan area of East Kalimantan. As one of the shareholders of PT Well Harvest Winning Alumina Refinery (WHW), Winning Indonesia began Backhaul Shipping in 2013, an important factor in the construction of WHW. With the continuous expansion of our business, Winning Indonesia started to develop our own ship management business in Indonesia by managing two Chemical Barges owned by WHW. These Barges operated within the Kendawangan Area, transporting sodium hydroxide from anchorage ground to the WHW port for WHW’s alumina production.

We began working with third-party manning agencies back in 2012. Later, with our solid standing in the Indonesian market, Winning established our own crew manning company – Winning Logistics Ship Management Service (WLSMS). Beginning from assigning crew members to our FCTs and Chemical Barges, WLSMS now supplies Indonesian Seafarers for Winning International Group’s African fleet located in Guinea. At the moment, we have recruited over 800 Seafarers assigned to our Floating Cranes (FC), Floating Coal Terminals (FCT), Tug Boats, and Ocean Going Vessels.

Winning Indonesia’s daily task is to supply high-quality Seafarers according to international standards. To achieve this, we have efficient training and recruitment plans to ensure that the best talents join us. Furthermore, Winning Indonesia Winning also places heavy emphasis on Seafarer’s benefits. The Group launched the “Seafarer’s Next-of-Kin Medical Insurance” and “Scholarship Educational Fund Program” to ensure good stability for our Seafarer team.

Apart from continuous development and expansion in Indonesia, Winning Indonesia works in line with Winning International Group’s spirit of “Caring” and “Sharing”. We believe in giving back to the community through our CSR Program that focuses on environmental protection. Working in accordance with the United Nations Development Program (Indonesia), we launched our CSR program “Bring Water to Life” in 2016. Through this program, Winning has contributed to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) including No Poverty, Good Health and Well-Being, Clean Water and Sanitation, Climate Action, and Affordable and Clean Energy.

Not only have we constantly succeeded in achieving developmental milestones, but Winning Indonesia also continues to provide quality services for our clientele, realizing beneficial results for the company. We believe that in the future, Winning Indonesia will continue to develop into one of the most influential companies in Indonesia.
