2018 WINNING INDONESIA AWARDING CEREMONY EVENT HELD
(Jakarta-Indonesia) February, 15th, 2019, On this day Winning Indonesia has the honor to become the host of 2018 Winning International Group Awarding Ceremony Event for Winning Indonesias employee. Attended by CHRO Mr. Yang Feng, Ms. Peng Jiawen, Capt. Li Fubin, Capt. Li Xinfeng, and most importantly President of Winning International Group, Mr. Sun Xiushun. Its been a while since Mr. Suns last visit to Jakarta, so all the employees were very excited to give the warmest welcome for him.
The Awarding Ceremony Event began with a very inspirational speech from Mr. Sun. Coincide with the month of Chinese New Year, on this opportunity Mr. Sun open his speech by saying Happy Chinese New Year to all of Indonesian employee, wishing them all the best also good health for their family. Gong Xi Fat Cai he said, which means Good Prosperity.
I feel very excited and proud every time I visited Indonesias office to see how far the Indonesian team has grown and improved. I would like to appreciate both crewing and Indonesian team for the hardworking and contribution to Winning Group said Mr. Sun followed by applause from all employees.
Its been 4 years since Winning first operation in Guinea, West Africa, and now Winning aimed for a long term vision by becoming sustainable organization by managing not only port and transshipment operation, but also marine logistic, vessels, shipping, and soon railway project and alumina plant in upcoming years. To achieve this vision, Mr. Sun conveyed that we need to focus on our Human Resources development, and he would like to have strong Human Resources in Winning Indonesias office. Therefore, he expected to have an international standard office especially in Jakarta to become a proper representative of Winning Group in Indonesia.
On Aug 2017, Qingdao management office has taken over the shipping and crew management in Guinea. Since then, Qingdao office and Indonesia office have a very good cooperation. This year I hope we can improve the communication and cooperation quality between Qingdao and Indonesia office to build strong and stable team continue Mr. Sun. Last but not least, closing his speech, Mr. Sun encourage all the employee to always create learning atmosphere in the company, so we can all join together giving our best effort to make Winning better in the future.
Getting into the main event, which is Award Presentation, CHRO Mr. Yang Feng give brief introduction about the Award. He mentioned that Brilliant Staff Awards Program was launched in 2018, in order to reward the excellent employees with outstanding performance. There are four categories of awards: Star of the Year, Best New Staff of the Year, Valuable Advice Award and Special Contribution Award.17 employees has chosen as winner, 9 of them are in sector level, and 8 of them is in group level (best of the best). Two of the awards, one from sector level Star of the Year and one from group level Special Contribution of The Year has the winner from Winning Indonesia.
Without further due, Mr. Yang Feng allowed Mr. Sun to announce the Winner for both awards. The Winner for Star of the Year is Mrs. Rezka from HR Department. She was chosen as winner for this award because she quickly adapted in her new role and did a very good job. Honestly I never expected to receive this kind of appreciation from the company and I feel very honored. It motivated me to contribute more to Winning. I hope in the future Winning will become a bigger company and I will still be part of the Winning team, Thank you very much said Mrs. Rezka.
Next, Mr. Sun announce the winner of a very special award, which is Special Contribution Award. The award is given to the one and only Capt. Sudjoni. Mr. Sun specifically mention that since 2015, Capt. Sudjoni stayed in Kamsar with bad working environment at that time. And he built the Guinea operation from zero, starting with only 5 tugs and 2 barges and now we grow to have 35 tugs and 28 barges. So our great achievements now is thanks to Capt. Sudjoni s great effort and Mr. Sun would like to give special appreciation from the Winning Group. Thank you very much Winning for giving me special contribution award, it such an honor for me. Not only me, but its also achievement to all Winning Indonesia employees. Their endless support and hard work makes it possible for us to accomplish the goal. In the future, I will try to keep the spirit and maintain the work to achieve our companys target. Capt. Sudjoni said humbly.
After all the awards were being presented, all employees are taking group photo with Mr. Sun, Mr. Yang Feng, Capt. Li Xinfeng, and all Singapore and Qingdao Team. Later on Mr. Sun held a short meeting with all management in Winning Indonesia, then continue to visit Winning Indonesia new building office location and having lunch together with all employees.
During lunch, Mr. Sun emphasize once more that Winning Indonesia is a foundation to our Winning Group. He hopes together with Mr. Andre Ristanto and Capt. Sudjoni we can expand our political influence and most importantly improve our management in Indonesia. Mr. Sun hope to have strong and solid international group management along with Singapore, Qingdao, Indonesia, and Africa. Mr. Sun believe that together with Winning Family we can overcome any barrier that lies in front of us.
About Winning Indonesia
Since 2012, Winning has established its business in Indonesia. Marked with the arrival of two big FCT(s) – FCT Winning Power and FCT Winning Unity, Winning has spread its wings to unlock the transshipment for potential new commodity, coal. Located in Samarinda, East Kalimantan, we began to explore and develop our coal transshipment operation. Entering Indonesian coal market as a new player at that time was not an easy task. But under good leadership and brilliant strategy, Winning Indonesia managed to be a market leader at the beginning of 2014. We had also successfully built strong customer relationship with various coal player in the market.
Indonesia is such a big country, other than Samarinda, Winning also expand the business in Kendawangan, West Kalimantan. As a shareholders in PT. Well Harvest Winning, we had big role during construction of WHW Alumina Plant by leading the project cargo back in 2013. Continuing our business, in 2016 we started to develop our ship management business in Indonesia by managing two chemical barges owned by PT. WHW. These two chemical barges operates within Kendawangan Area to deliver caustic soda from the anchorage to WHW jetty which later on will be use by WHW Alumina Plant to produce alumina.
Engaging third party crewing agency back in 2012, we feel that most of the hard work has been done by ourselves including the recruitment process. Therefore, with such experience and to strengthen our business position in Indonesia, Winning has established its own Crewing Management Company, PT. Winning Logistics Ship Management Service. Started with providing crew for two FCT (s) and two Tugs, now PT. WLSMS has grown into main crew supplier for Winning Groups fleet in Guinea, Africa. We have more than 800 crews that employed to Floating Crane (FC), Floating Coal Terminal (FCT), Tugs, and Ocean Going Vessel. To provide a good quality crew according to the international standard is our daily mission, thus we create a good training and recruitment program making sure that only the very best people that selected for our crews. Furthermore, Winning also pay great attention to its Crew Welfare. Crews Family Health Insurance and Childrens Scholarship Program were launched to maintain our crew retention in Indonesia.
Other than continue to expand our business in Indonesia, Winning feels the need to giving back to Indonesias community through our CSR program. In line with Winning Groups vision to become a sustainable company, our CSR program evolves around environmental subject. One of our CSR program is Bring Water for Life an initiative from UNDP Indonesia to provide clean water to various remote area in Indonesia. Through this initiative Winning has given contribution to ultimate sustainable goals including no poverty, good health, clean water, climate action and affordable clean energy.
